Eunice Santos Named Among Crain’s Tech 50

New Research Models Assess On-the-Job Hacking

Eunice Santos, Ron Hochsprung Endowed Chair, chair of the computer science department, and professor of computer science, was named to the Crain’s Chicago Business Tech 50 of 2018 list. This 2018 appearance marks the second time Santos has been included on the prestigious Tech 50 list. Crain’s Tech 50 includes founders, leaders, technologists, investors, connectors, and mentors you need to know in Chicago tech. This year the list is composed entirely of women. 

Santos earned her Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and has B.S. and M.S. degrees in both mathematics and computer science. She works in the areas of large-scale distributed processing, computational modeling, cybersecurity, cloud computing, large-scale information processing, complex adaptive systems, and human modeling with applications to the biological, physical, and social sciences.
